Hillary & Matt's Wedding at Palmetto's in Slidell
On May 23, 2009 Hillary & Matt got married on the swamps at Palmetto's Restaurant in Slidell, Louisiana. They had a beautiful southern style wedding filled with dancing, booze, and a lot of friends, family, and fun! These two love birds met in Denver when Hillary left New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and I won't forget how Matt commented the night of the wedding that sometimes its catastrophes that lead to love.
How many bridesmaids does it take to put on a wedding dress?....at least 5...sometimes more!
Hillary & Matt chose to see each other for the first time on the water's pier.
You can sense their nerves and excitement just by looking at their hands!
A kiss and a twirl!
These kids didn't care about the toast, they just wanted cake!!
It was easy to spot Matt's family from Ohio, they just looked confused as the Southerners joined in a tradional second line parade.
I was glad to see the engagement guest book I made for them was quickly filling up with signatures
Just a couple more portraits with the dress up and the shoes off!
Thanks Hillary & Matt for taking me with you to New Orleans for an incredible wedding!

Model Kiera - Buenos Aires, Argentina
Last month I was in Buenos Aires, Argentina where I had the opportunity to photograph a couple of beautiful models! Kiera is an experienced professional that recently spent a few months doing modeling around Mexico and the Caribean. Even though she spoke little English and I spoke even less Spanish, we managed to get through the 3 hour shoot with one language with did have in common - body language!
I have been doing so much traveling lately that it has made it extrememly difficult for me to keep up with all my post-production including my blogging. But I am in back in Denver now for the busy summer wedding season and may have to start blogging daily just to catch up with all the shooting I've been doing! Plus, a newly designed blog is in the works, hopefully to be out realllllly soon!
The shoot starated with a ride on le subte to Plaza de Mayo
Everywhere we went the guys were checking her out!
We made it back to Palermo for sunset shots on the rooftop of my apartment.
I had to get a shot with a glass of Malbec wine- Argentina's specialty...and check out the tiny crest of the moon I was able to capture in one of the shots right before the sun set completly.

Engagement Pictures at Red Rocks in Colorado
When spring is not yet in bloom and everything is dry and brown where do you go? Red Rocks! No matter the time of year, Red Rocks in Morrison, CO is always beautiful! No matter how many times I shoot there I don't think I will ever get tired of its majestic views, fiery cliffs, and unique landscapes. I will be shooting Hillary & Matt's wedding along the swamps of Slidell, which is a town right outside of New Orleans, Louisiana. So these photos will also provide a stark contrast between the two towns. We had a great time playing around the rocks and now we are all even more excited for the wedding day!
P.S. NEW BLOG COMING REALLLLLY SOOON, I CAN'T WAIT!!

Picture Preview from Wedding at La Pavillon Hotel in New Orleans
Bianca & Rohan live in Texas but when visiting New Orleans for a New Years celebration they fell in love with the romantic unique city. They eventually got engaged in New Orleans, and on April 4 got married there as well. The rooftop of La Pavillon in the French Quarter was perfect for their small intimate ceremony. The event turned out to be quite nostalgic for me as my own wedding took place in New Orleans exactly a year and a couple days before, and we even had the same officiant, John Zimmer! John is an amazing officiant who puts everyone at ease and I couldn't beleive Bianca & Rohan had chosen him as well for their ceremony. I'm sure their wedding day was special to all those that attended, and I thank you as well, Bianca & Rohan, for inviting me to document your wedding in the romantic and nostalgic city of New Orleans!
